Come join Tokyo Ski Snowboard Gaijins and “The Snow Monsters” for one of the best weekend trips of the season! This club trip features:
• The famous Snow Monsters of Zao Onsen.
• Well located lodge (just for our group).
• 8,000yen non-skiers/snowboarders discount.
• Chance to see the snow monsters at night (night illumination).
• Nice onsens everywhere.
Zao onsen is not just famous for its amazing powder snow, hot springs and absolutely beautiful mountain scenery but also for its “Snow Monsters” (“Juhyo”). These monsters are a wonderful sight to be seen in person. As the winter season progresses, the trees start to accumulate snow until they are turned into the monsters. The snow monsters are at their peak size this time of the year. The best part is you can ski around and within the monsters. Also at night, they are illuminated in colored lights and swathed in moonlight, that eerily brings them to life. We’ll see the snow monsters with a glass of hot wine in hand to make the experience absolutely right.
We’ll have our well-renowned (for being fun) apres-ski party back at the lodge. This will allow you to spend some quality time with your new friends, drink, chat and exchange stories. Of course, there will be music and some dancing!
This is one of the most popular trips we offer and it get booked out quite quickly!

Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. Over time, Halloween evolved into a secular, community-based event characterized by child-friendly activities such as trick-or-treating.
In the big city however, far too few activities are designed for families with kids during Halloween these days. So if you have kids and like to party with your entire family this time, come and join Petit Pumpkin Haruna this Saturday, October 29. KozyKabins™ is lightening up a big bonfire from noon. Everyone is welcome to carve their own pumpkin. Bring your own food and drinks for BBQ or let yourself pamper by us. Feel free to stay overnight with your family in one of the heated cabins. With fresh minus-ion-rich air and healthy pH-neutral mountain water, this place makes it ideal to escape the masquerade with your family for a couple of days.
Minor charges for accommodation, consumed meals, and pumpkin (huge sizes available) carving may apply. Please contact us for more details.

A Tokyo-based international school reported that Minakami has deemed not safe to conduct this year’s adventure fieldtrip. In response, they arranged for a more westerly location.
While we agree that those levels are elevated, they are in no way health concerning. Though rest assured, we’re happy to announce that according to our own readings, the Mt. Haruna base hasn’t seen any elevated levels yet. Readings are unchanged at around 0.2 µSv/h since March 11.
We’ll however restart our regular tests up at Mt. Haruna just to be on the safe side. Below a screenshot of independent readings taken from the region. The official ground radiation data can be accessed here.
